On a beautiful day on August 8, 1969, the world’s most iconic band strode, single-file, across the black and white stripes of Abbey Road’s nearby zebra crossing near London’s EMI Recording Studios.

Fun fact alert! Did you know The Beatles crossed back and forth three times, led by John Lennon, followed by Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison. And only six photos were shot, with the fifth landing on the cover shot for The Beatles’ penultimate studio album, Abbey Road, named after the tree-lined street in which the studios are located.

Though Abbey Road was not The Beatles’ final album, it was definitely the last one John, Paul, George, and Ringo recorded together as a band.

And now Abbey Road the Beatles’ album with 17 tracks all newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and mix engineer Sam Okell in stereo are available in Vinyl.

The album’s new edition released in 2019, closely follows the universally acclaimed remixed and expanded anniversary editions of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and The BEATLES (‘White Album’) released in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

The album features the new stereo album mix, sourced directly from the original eight-track session tapes.

Fun fact again! To produce the mix, Giles Martin worked with Sam Okell, and was guided by the album’s original stereo mix supervised by his father, George Martin! Beatles’ love does run in generations, won’t you say!
